First reported by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.threatfabric.com\/blogs\/xenomorph-a-newly-hatched-banking-trojan.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">ThreatFabric<\/a>, Xenomorph posed as a system-optimizing app called \u201cFast Cleaner\u201d. Disguising malicious software as device optimizers, battery- or performance-enhancing and other utility tools is a rather common tactic for\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.welivesecurity.com\/2022\/05\/04\/3-most-dangerous-types-android-malware\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">dangerous Android malware<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Xenomorph is after people\u2019s login credentials for banking, payment, social media, cryptocurrency and other apps with valuable personal information.
