It may not look like it in its current state but this Beaumont property with a partially renovated house is full of opportunity.

The 916sq m block at 14 Clearview St is offering prospective buyers a chance to either finish renovating its existing five-bedroom house or clear it for redevelopment.

Selling agent Brandon Pilgrim, of Ray White Norwood, said the vendors bought the property in the early 2000s and started renovating soon after.

“The house that’s there has always been there and the owners have been slowly trying to renovate it over the years,” he said.

“It’s just not finished.”

The house spans three storeys, starting with an undercroft garage that has a cellar and workshop.

Upstairs, there is an open kitchen and dining room, a large living room, a separate family room, a bedroom, a bathroom and a laundry.

The remaining four bedrooms, including the master with an ensuite and a balcony, and a bathroom are on the top floor.

Mr Pilgrim, who is selling the property with Damien Fong, said the owners subdivided the land and started building the undercroft of another house on the block.

He said they had plans to move into the new house and sell the other once the renovation was finished but increasing building costs and lengthy wait times halted progress.

Given its position in one of Adelaide’s most sought-after suburbs, Mr Pilgrim believed the property would attract a range of buyers, from those interested in finishing the renovation or rebuilding a new family home to developers keen to knock it down and rebuild multiple others.

“I think we will get a lot of interest just because of the development opportunity,” he said.

“Developers are very active in the market still.”

Best offers for the property close at noon on August 8.

According to latest PropTrack data, Beaumont has a median house price of $1,627,500.
