Artificial intelligence (AI) powered platform BeCare Link has introduced its first subspecialty product, BeCare MS Link, to focus on multiple sclerosis (MS).

The new mobile application offers comprehensive, remote and objective neurologic assessment for MS patients.

It has been developed to tackle the scarcity of neurologists across the country besides simplifying the process of conducting and interpreting neurologic examinations.

Validation studies conducted with Weil Cornell and Yale School of Medicine have substantiated that the AI-generated BeCare MS Link score aligns with the disability scores produced by healthcare providers during in-person clinical visits.

The comprehensive data obtained from the application’s 13 gamified activities, along with the data gathered from the ‘About Me’ questionnaire, cover a wide range of in-office tests that are typically conducted by physicians.

In the initial findings of the BeCare MS Link app, it was found that 58% of over 4,000 early adopters used the app at least twice in 2022.

Additionally, 99% of respondents in a patient satisfaction survey found the app to be user-friendly and easy to follow.

The company plans to launch a general neurologic app with multiple potential applications this year. Furthermore, plans are underway to develop apps for Alzheimer’s Disease, Parkinson’s Disease and ALS.

BeCare Link co-founder and CEO Larry Rubin said: “Unlike other MS apps, BeCare MS Link generates quantitative measures to monitor and detect changes to neurologic status through its proprietary, patented machine-learned technology.

“It enables patients to conduct their own assessments based on objective measures from the palm of their hand, as the mobile app mimics in-person clinical examinations.”
