The property at 197 Kingston Road, Whyanbeel, is on the market for $1.6 million.

The home of the old Australian Muster Experience has hit the market in Far North Queensland complete with timber-fenced arena, rundown rustic bar, rainforest and even a creek.

The 64.74ha property at 197 Kingston Road, Whyanbeel, is listed for sale with an asking price of $1.6 million.

Selling agent Nicole Dwyer, of Property Shop Port Douglas and Mossman, wrote in the listing that the block was at the head of the Whyanbeel Valley, bordered by the Daintree National Park, with views to Port Douglas and the Coral Sea.

Once the home of the Australian Muster Experience, the block still has the arena with timber fencing along with the timber building that housed a bar and seating for the experience.

“(This was) the only rodeo experience in the area,” Ms Dwyer wrote.

“Tourists used to flock here to watch man and horse round up cattle and show off their skills.”

The experience included bull riding, mustering and horse riding demonstrations while visitors enjoyed an Aussie barbecue and downed a few coldies.

The venue was also used for rodeos and other events.

Ms Dwyer suggested the existing building could be used to create a home or business.

“Create your own tourist destination/accommodation, or renovate the old buildings and make a creative and quirky house – your very own home on the range,” she wrote.

“Or use the sheds and buildings for storage or workshops.

“If you fancy having your own farm, there are approximately 12ha of cleared land, which is sufficient for some horses and around 25 head of cattle.”

The existing building could be repurposed into a home or business.

The rest of the block is rainforest with a creek running through the property and no neighbours upstream.

The property is 15 minutes from the Mossman township, where there are schools and shops, 30 minutes from the tourist mecca of Port Douglas and 90 minutes from Cairns.
