Building Venti in Genshin Impact

Source Node: 775140

Venti is back again, thanks to his new Event Banner in Genshin Impact 1.4.

The tone-deaf bard, and God of Anemo, is one of the best utility characters in the game, especially built with Energy Recharge in mind.

That is, of course, if he can put down the bottle of Dawn Winery’s finest dandelion wine.

Venti is a bow user who focuses on mob control and swirling Elemental reactions.

While Venti can be built as a DPS, it is a seriously underserving role for the amazing Utility character that he is.

However this does not mean Venti will not put out some serious damage with the build below.

Venti Best Artifacts

Venti
VENTI: The tone-deaf bard returns!

Venti’s best set of artifacts are a complete set of Viridescent Venerer, focusing on Energy Recharge, Anemo DMG, and ATK%.

The two-piece bonus gives Venti a 15% bump in Anemo DMG.

The four-piece bonus increases his Swirl DMG by 60% and decreases foes’ Elemental RES to whatever elemental is Swirled by 40% for 10 seconds.

A good alternative to these artifacts is the Noblesse Oblige set, focusing on the same stats listed above.

This set gives Venti a 20% increase in Elemental Burst DMG for the two-piece bonus and all party members an ATK boost of 20% for 12 seconds when an Elemental Burst is used with the four-piece set.

Venti Best Weapons

Venti with Favonius Warbow
BOWS: The Favonius Warbow is Venti’s 2nd Best Bow

The best bow in the game for Venti is The Stringless, though this may be replaced by the Elegy for the End after more field testing.

A 5-Star bow, The Stringless has the following stats at Level 1:

  • Base ATK: 42
  • Secondary Stat Type: Elemental Mastery
  • Secondary Stat: 36
  • Ability: Arrowless Song – Increases Elemental Skill and Elemental Burst DMG by 24%.

When refined to Level 5, Arrowless Song‘s increase goes from 24% to 48%.

At Level 90, The Stringless’ stats are as follows:

  • Base ATK: 510
  • Secondary Stat Type: Elemental Mastery
  • Secondary Stat: 165

The Stringless can only be obtained via Genshin Impact’s Wish system.

An alternative to The Stringless is the 4-Star Favonius Warbow, which has the following stats at Level 1:

  • Base ATK: 41
  • Secondary Stat Type: Energy Recharge
  • Secondary Stat: 13.3%
  • Ability: Windfall – CRIT hits have a 60% chance to generate 1 Elemental Orb, which will regenerate 6 Energy for the character. Can only occur once every 12s.

When refined to Level 5, Windfall increases boost CRIT to 100% chance of generating 1 Elemental Orb once every 6 seconds.

At Level 90, the Favonius Warbow has the following stats:

  • Base ATK: 454
  • Secondary Stat Type: Energy Recharge
  • Secondary Stat: 61.3%

The Favonius Warbow can be pulled via the Wish system and obtained as a Mondstadt Archon Quest reward.

Keep in mind that these are the best two weapons for now. More testing needs to be done with the Elegy for the End and the Winblume Ode to see how well they work with Venti going forward.

Venti Best Teammates

Ganyu
GANYU: The tactical nuke of Genshin Impact

Venti works best as support, pulling in enemies and Swirling other elements to deal massive damage to bundles foes.

Ganyu is currently one of the best DPS characters in the game, so it makes sense to include her in a party with Venti.

Xiangling or Xingqiu make for excellent Sub-DPS characters, though Xingqiu makes more sense, adding Hydro’s mix with Ganyu’s Cryo.

Finally, Bennett rounds out the team with the ability to buff and heal teammates while also putting out a fair amount of damage on his own if needed.

Ganyu is not a readily available Main DPS and can be swapped out with just about any Main DPS, trying to stay away from Pyro since Bennett is already part of the lineup.

Ningguang is an excellent alternative due to her attacks dealing AoE damage, though Razor or Keqing are also great characters that are always available to pull from banners.

Are His Constellations Good?

Venti's Constellations
CONSTELLATIONS: Tough to get for Venti, for sure
  • Splitting Gales – Constellation Level 1
    • Fires 2 additional split arrows per Aimed Shot, each dealing 33% of the original arrow’s DMG.
  • Breeze of Reminiscence – Constellation Level 2
    • Skyward Sonnet decreases opponents’ Anemo RES and Physical RES by 12% for 10s. Opponents launched by Skyward Sonnet suffer an additional 12% Anemo RES and Physical RES decrease while airborne.
  • Ode to Thousand Winds – Constellation Level 3
    • Increases the level of Wind’s Grand Ode by 3. The maximum upgrade level is 15.
  • Hurricane of Freedom – Constellation Level 4
    • When Venti picks up an Elemental Orb or Particle, he receives a 25% Anemo DMG Bonus for 10s.
  • Concerto dal Cielo – Constellation Level 5
    • Increases the level of Skyward Sonnet by 3. The maximum upgrade level is 15.
  • Storm of Defiance – Constellation Level 6
    • Targets who take DMG from Wind’s Grand Ode have their Anemo RES decreased by 20%. If an Elemental Absorption occurred, their RES towards the corresponding Element is also decreased by 20%.

Each of Venti’s Constellations, as hard as they are to get, each of Venti’s Constellations is excellent except his first one.

Players will rarely use Venti’s charged shot, making Splitting Gales a very “meh” reward for pulling Venti a second time through Genshin Impact’s Wish system.

Storm of Defiance is amazing, though each and every level from Level 2 and above increases Venti’s efficacy by leaps and bounds.

Unfortunately, the chances of having a C6 Venti without spending some serious money are slim to none and soon impossible until his Event Banner returns for a third time.
