Activision has formally revealed the first bit of information regarding the upcoming Call of Duty League Championship 2021. This includes the dates in which the playoffs will happen and the location of where it will happen, along with details about how fans can watch the events live and in person.

Call of Duty League Championship 2021 Date Revealed

The Call of Duty League has finally announced that the Call of Duty League Championship 2021 will be taking place later this summer, as expected. Like last year, it will take place in August this year and a good bit into the month as the fifth stage will only have concluded a couple of weeks earlier.

Fans and the 12 teams in the league can look forward to the Call of Duty League Championship 2021 from Aug. 19-22. This is only the second championship event in the league since it was formed and began its inaugural season in 2020, so this is an exciting moment.

Furthermore, as no surprise to us after the Stage 4 Major featured the official return to LAN play for the teams, this upcoming playoff will be done on a stage and in person, with all of the teams gathering at once. This tournament will be the culmination of the entire 2021 season thus far.

This year, there are five grueling stages, five Major tournaments, and a whole bunch of Home Series Weekends that have all been leading up to this moment. With just over a month or so until the championship begins, the end is now formally in sight for the current season.

The Black Ops Cold War season will come to a close when only the top eight teams from the league will gather on the stage to determine who the overall champs of the year will be this time. Will it be the reigning champs, Dallas Empire, or someone else? That is something that we will find out soon.

Location and Ticket Details

For now, though, we have some great details to keep us pumped up for the upcoming end of the 2021 season. For one, the Call of Duty League Championship 2021 will be taking place not at the Esports Stadium in Arlington, Texas, like the Majors have, but in Los Angeles.

Finally, making good on the promise that was supposed to happen last year in 2020 originally, the Call of Duty League Championship 2021 will happen at the Galen Center in Los Angeles, Aug. 19-22. It is here that the new or returning winner of the league will be crowned and a lot of prize money will be given.

When it comes to the postseason prize pool for the 2021 season, there is an unbelievable amount of money on the line for these 12 teams. The champion of the entire year will walk away with a whopping $1.2 million for winning, while second place will get $650,000, and third place will get $300,000.

The other placements have not been confirmed at this time. We do know that, most likely, all eight of the teams in attendance will get money in some form for just being the best of the best for the 2021 season. The best part is that the community has the chance to watch all of it live as it happens.

The Call of Duty League Championship 2021 will be at the Galen Center. Fans who purchase tickets will be allowed onto the premises to be part of the action as it happens. You will be able to cheer on your favorite teams and players and feel the intensity and excitement as everything unfolds in front of you.

We know two different tickets at this time, but pricing has not yet been revealed. Firstly, there is the playoffs pass that will grant you entrance to the first three days of the Call of Duty League Championship 2021, where you will be able to see the top eight teams compete in their initial rounds of the tournament.

There are also single-day tickets that will be available during this time for those who might only show up on one of those three days, for instance. However, the problem with this playoffs pass is that it will not include tickets to the championship match on Sunday.

That is a separate ticket that you will have to purchase, and that is the Call of Duty League Championship 2021 ticket. Again, pricing has not been revealed. Hopefully, there is an option where you can purchase all four days at once and possibly save some money overall.

For reference, though, the upcoming Stage 5 Major will allow fans to attend the Esports Stadium for $59 for two of the four days that it will be happening. However, keep in mind that this is not the championship. It is at a different venue in general. We anticipate that tickets will likely be more for this championship.

Doors will open daily at 10 a.m. local time PT. The competition will begin at around noon each day. There will be many matches across the four days of the Call of Duty League Championship 2021 to determine the 2021 champion, so it will be a jam-packed event.

Stage 5 is just about to get started at the time of this announcement, and that means that we still have three weeks of group play to look forward to, in addition to the final Major tournament for the year. In the meantime, there is a lot of Call of Duty League content for the next month or so. Be sure to keep an eye here for everything you need to know leading up to the championship this season.
