Over 186,000 flights scheduled to depart the UK this summer, Cirium reveals

• During July and August 2023, 186,220 flights are scheduled to depart the UK airports – equating to over 33.2 million seats
• Departures from the UK during the peak summer months are projected to hit 90% of 2019 levels (pre-pandemic), when 208,063 flights were scheduled
• Summer departures from UK airports are up 12% compared to 2022 and up 124% compared to 2021, as travellers resume business and leisure trips
• From the UK, Dublin is scheduled to be biggest international destination by flights, followed by Amsterdam, Palma, Malaga and Faro.
