Smith, a leading independent distributor of electronic components and semiconductors, today announces the appointment of Anthony Chilelli to the position of Vice President of Business Development, North America. In this role, Anthony will build and develop Smith’s relationships with key accounts and target customers in the United States, Mexico, and Canada.

“During the recent shortages, we had the opportunity to connect with a myriad of customers that were new to the semiconductor supply chain and help guide them through unprecedented disruptions,” said Todd Burke, President of Global Business Development at Smith. “Anthony is a welcome addition to our Business Development team. He brings a wealth of experience, and I look forward to working together to identify more areas for growth, collaboration, and innovation as we move into the next phase of the market.”

Anthony joined Smith in 2003 and helped to open the company’s office in New York City, which he has managed throughout his tenure. His decades of experience mentoring traders in the region will continue to foster Smith’s culture of teamwork and cross-office collaboration.

“Smith’s expert trading force swiftly moves in tandem with the cyclical patterns of semiconductor supply and demand to offer our customers comprehensive service and support tailored to their specific requirements,” said Anthony. “I am excited to take this next step and work alongside our North American traders to grow and develop our key partnerships in the region.”
