Miles Teller may no longer be feeling the need for speed, but he’s looking up when it comes to his living situation.

The Top Gun: Maverick star reportedly just purchased a Cape Cod-style home in swanky suburb of Pacific Palisades for an impressive $11.1m (US$7.5m).

So now he’s ready to offload his smaller dwelling in nearby Studio City.

The actor’s soon-to-be-former home is a modern Spanish style property with five bedrooms, 6.5 bathrooms, and just over 510 sq m of living space. It’s priced at $8.4m (US$5.75m).

Should Teller get what he’s asking for it, he’ll make out with a tidy profit, as he bought the house brand new for about $4.4m (US$3m) seven years ago.

Natural wood tones and rough-hewed beams lend an air of casual sophistication to the home’s interior.

An airy, open-floor plan flows from the great room to the kitchen, which includes Wolf and Sub-Zero appliances. Bespoke cabinets and a generous island fill the cook space with elegance, according to Realtor.

The main bedroom suite offers a private balcony, large walk-in wardrobes, and a spa bath with a lovely soaking tub. The house has plenty of room for exercise equipment and comes with a wine cellar, a home office, and a plush home cinema with leather seats.

Outside, the manicured lawns and tall hedges conceal passers by from seeing a pretty pool, hot tub, and cabana for lounging and entertaining.

A bathroom is also accessible from the yard, as is a fireplace for any cooler California evenings.

In addition to his role in “Top Gun: Maverick,” alongside Tom Cruise, Teller has also appeared in “Whiplash” and the “Divergent” movie series.

On the small screen, his work can be found in the crime miniseries “Too Old To Die Young” and “The Offer,” a drama about the making of the iconic movie “The Godfather.”
