USQRisk, the international managing general agent specializing in alternative risk transfer and unique risk solutions, announced today the promotions of Tony Harrington-Jones and Chris Giuffre to the newly-created positions of director of group operations and chief strategy officer, respectively. In these roles, Harrington-Jones and Giuffre will be responsible for enabling USQRisk’s continued global growth and ability to innovate in a rapidly changing insurance industry environment.

“Chris and Tony have the background, experience and expertise needed to drive USQRisk’s mission to create unique alternative risk transfer solutions,” said Anibal Moreno, CEO of USQRisk. “Both have been valued members of USQRisk’s leadership and now they will be focusing their abilities on our broader growth strategy.”

Before assuming their new roles, Chris and Tony served as chief operating officers for the US and UK, respectively. As USQRisk continues is successful growth and after the expansion into a new London office earlier this year, USQRisk is taking steps through leadership changes to institutionalize its industry leadership, and to secure its operation, strategies, and processes at a global level to meet growth plans.

As director of global operations, Harrington-Jones will develop and implement a unified operational strategy, providing leadership and management oversight across USQRisk’s global operations, systems, finance and administration functions.

“Having proven his knowledge and abilities by bringing our London office on-line successfully, and in the development of critical systems and other operating platforms, Tony is perfectly suited to lead the development of our global operations processes,” said Michael Zipper, President of USQRisk.

Giuffre is tasked with leading USQ’s global strategic and innovation initiatives. As group chief strategy officer, Chris will oversee USQ’s product development, expanding USQ’s network of capacity and alternative capital providers, and the continued build of the company’s infrastructure to further differentiate itself as a leader in the alternative risk space.

“At a time when innovation is a critical driver of our industry’s growth, I’m excited to work alongside some of the best and brightest to address rapidly emerging and evolving risks. I look forward to building on the team’s already amazing success, expanding our brand and network, and solidifying USQ’s role as a key innovator within the global insurance market,” said Giuffre.
