Where to buy Legend of Zelda amiibo in time for Tears of the Kingdom

The Legend of Zelda amiibo are some of the toughest ones to find. But it’s getting a little easier to secure ones for yourself ahead of the May 12 launch of The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom for the Nintendo Switch. In fact, it’s cheaper, too. For a limited time, GameStop is offering the Zelda and Loftwing amiibo for just $5.

In other recent news, Amazon surprised us by launching stock of the adult Link amiibo from The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time (via Wario64 on Twitter). Elsewhere, Best Buy is accepting pre-orders for the Link amiibo from Majora’s Mask, and GameStop has the Link amiibo from Twilight Princess available for pre-order. If it’s the Link amiibo from Tears of the Kingdom you’re after, Amazon opened up pre-orders of that one.

As for what many of the amiibo in this post have in common, Nintendo has confirmed that some will change the look of Link’s paraglider in Tears of the Kingdom, with a different design depending on the figure you tap. As we get closer the game’s launch (we highly suggest pre-ordering it, if you haven’t already), we may find out if more amiibo figures have special interactivity.

Adult Link (Ocarina of Time) amiibo

Amazon has restocked the adult Link amiibo from The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. It’s selling for $15.99, and orders should ship in early June. Nintendo hasn’t shared whether this amiibo has special functionality in Tears of the Kingdom.

Link (Majora’s Mask) amiibo

Best Buy is currently selling pre-orders for this amiibo, which has a May 12 release date — the same day when Tears of the Kingdom will release in the United States.

This figure is listed as “coming soon,” also with a May 12 release date at Best Buy. It will be $15.99. While it’s not yet available for pre-order at Best Buy, you can pre-order it through GameStop and at Amazon.

Link: Rider (Breath of the Wild) amiibo

This amiibo isn’t in stock at major U.S. retailers, at least for its usual retail price. However, Amazon has it in stock for about $36.

Link (Twilight Princess) amiibo

GameStop is now accepting pre-orders for the Link from Twilight Princess amiibo, which costs $15.99. Nintendo hasn’t shared whether this amiibo will have an effect on Link’s paraglider fabric in Tears of the Kingdom, but it’s possible that it will.

Update (April 21): Amazon restocked the adult Link amiibo from The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. Plus, we tweaked the price of the Zelda and Loftwing (Skyward Sword HD) amiibo, which is currently selling for just $5 at GameStop.
